Quote of the Month

“Your imagination has much to do with your life. It pictures, beauty, success, desired results.
On the other hand, it brings into focus ugliness, distress & failure.
It is up for you to decide how you want your imagination to serve you.”

- Robert E. Frederick

Forum Question of The Month

“What cooler temperature and humidity percentage is optimum?”
Send your answers to us via e-mail and we’ll post them next month!

“What’s Going On At NFA?”

  • Our fourteen member Board of Directors is busy contacting our membership and mailing list for 2004 membership renewals.

  • Executive Committee and Past Leaders are working on securing sponsorships.

  • Convention Committee 2004 is putting together great programs, entertainment, and design shows for “Elements” in Salt Lake City.

  • Workshops are being planned for many areas and will be announced soon.

  • Pertinent questions on business, design, and marketing are fielded by the office every day.

Organization Tip of the Month

Have you taken the time to Strategically Plan for your firm recently? Ever? It isn’t hard – it just requires honestly answering a few basic questions, and taking a focused 2 hours – over a glass of wine, perhaps? Start with the “SWOT” formula. (No, not “Stupid Waste Of Time”.)

It means to evaluate your Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities & Threats.
Then you pick your objectives and the tactics with which you will reach those objectives. Then you can realistically see what your firm needs to improve, build upon, and overcome to succeed. Try it!
(Note: don’t waste time on the exercise if you won’t implement the results.)
